The forecast for the weekend had been rain all weekend. Even the day before this intimate spring wedding in Lambert’s Cove, the forecast did not look very much on our favor. However, Saturday came, we had a rainy morning and then the rest of the day was a mix between sunny and cloudy which made for an amazing wedding on Martha’s Vineyard.
Aliia and Jake’s idea was to have something simple, authentic and intimate. Jake’s brother was the officiant, and only close family members were invited to attend. It was a small, beautiful and full of smiles kind of a wedding.
Since it was on a Saturday, I was a little worried that the beach might be full with families and tourists, however we really lucked out. After walking a little ways on the beach we came upon an empty area and decided to make the ceremony and dinner there. Only towards the very end one could feel a few raindrops every now and then, but it just added to the magic of the day.
