I had been working with Birthrites for over a year then. First, I had done two family documentary shoots in which Jaqueline and Meredith’s individual families were captured. Now we were looking to capture moments that showed their connection and friendship. They were good friends as well as co-owners of Birthrites and wanted to show some of the magic between them that inspired them to start this venture. We decided to shoot at a location that the two of them would visit from time to time in Aquinna, Martha’s Vineyard. The day of the shoot the island was covered by fog which just made the shoot that much more amazing. Laughter, joy and authenticity made the other magical part of the shoot.
